Background

Travis Westbrook has lived in the Houston area for most of his life.  He graduated from Trinity Lutheran School in Klein and Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball.  He was a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 1333 and is an Eagle Scout.  He currently attends Trinity Lutheran Church in Klein.

Before becoming a lawyer, Travis worked as a mechanical engineer for an engineering consulting firm in Houston.  He passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination and is certified as an Engineer in Training by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.

During his second and third years at Baylor Law School, Travis advised clients on patent, trademark, and copyright matters as a member of the Baylor Law IP Clinic, a pro bono legal aid service.  He was also the president of Baylor Law’s chapter of the Christian Legal Society.

After graduating and passing the Texas Bar Examination, Travis passed a second bar examination commonly called the “Patent Bar Exam” and became registered by the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Attorney.  Travis then joined a law firm and began practicing in estate planning, probate, intellectual property, business, and real estate law.
