Background
Travis Westbrook has lived in the Houston area for most of his life. He graduated from Trinity Lutheran School in Klein and Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball. He was a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 1333 and is an Eagle Scout.
Before becoming a lawyer, Travis worked as a mechanical engineer for one of the most respected engineering consulting firms in Houston. He passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination and is certified as an Engineer in Training by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
At Baylor Law School, Travis advised clients on patent, trademark, and copyright matters with the Baylor Law School Intellectual Property Law Clinic, a pro bono legal aid service. He was also the president of Baylor Law School’s chapter of the Christian Legal Society.
After graduating, Travis passed two bar exams: the Texas Bar Examination and the United States Patent and Trademark Office “Patent Bar” Examination. He became licensed to practice law, joined a law firm, and then began practicing in estate planning, probate, intellectual property, business, and real estate law.
